Ensembles Visiting Schools

The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra has about 70 different ensembles including strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, and piano. These ensembles are sent out to schools to play for the classes and schools who aren’t able to go on field trips. This is another way for the students to be able to see what the instrument is like live and up-close. They will see how musicians work together to make music. It’s all about teamwork. During their visit, the musicians will explain how the instrument works, give a general background about music, and answer any questions they might have.
